AI agents were used in the attack or the laundering
Reports of automated laundering led to questions about AI agents. Chainalysis said the attackers appear to use automation. A separate Chainalysis breach was described by The Block as the work of an AI-assisted hacker. Elliptic said whether the automation involves AI agents cannot be determined from on-chain data.

What the evidence does and does not show
The captured sources say the laundering looks automated. None of the sources captured as of 2026-11-01 shows AI agents were used against Binance. Elliptic says the on-chain data cannot settle it. Chainalysis said its own breach is not related to the Binance theft. We found no source in the sources captured as of 2026-11-01 that reports evidence of AI agents in the Binance attack itself.
